Bird life

I enjoy trying new courses. I did a shamanic journey circle a couple of times last year in search of my 'spirit animal'. I never found it but I think this was due to the fact I couldn't actually see. I found myself in a cave that was very dark, it can happen apparently, I did however have an overwhelming feeling of an owl though! I've tried NLP to understand the inner workings of the human mind and I've trained in remote viewing to understand the outer workings of the human mind. Last year I trained in Reiki to explore the power of energy for healing. Last night I did an holistic singing class...this was something altogether different.
Sometimes when I join these classes I imagine that someone is looking down and all of the roofs have been taken off the buildings. And there I'd be, sitting in a circle with six other people trying to find my inner note. I have to say I really enjoyed it. Sometimes two peoples inner notes would clash horifically resulting in bum notes resonating around the community hall, other times a spontanious angelic harmony would be born between everyone that would have made grown men weep. Whatever the outcome it was about self expressionism in a way I haven't tried or experienced before. I felt like the weights of the day had been lifted, I felt totally relaxed and rejuvinated and that a real bond had been formed amongst the group... and the pub was still open when we finished ;O)

I've just stepped back seven years...
Last weekend I dutifully returned as my friends trusty 'plus one' at a friend's of his wedding.
I stared blankly at some loved up couple mouthing the words 'I love you' across the aisle of the church, commented on what a beautiful couple they were, marvelled at their affection during the photo session and then drowned my sorrows of becoming the next Bridget Jones at their free bar!! Oh, and I danced on my own on the dance floor, managing to suspiciously injure my pectoral muscles whilst doing my moves to Michael Jackson's Billie Jean.

Me and my friend have now done 'four Weddings, a Christening and a works do'! We have also made a pact...if we are still single at the age of 65 we will marry each other. He sounded a little too excited when he phoned up last night and heard what I was cooking, made some comment about getting in practise...

My day started, like the last few, with an abrupt and rude awakening to the sound of metal against window panes. It seems that my landlord is giving our house a face lift and as such a team of polish decorators have begun the horrendous task of painting the outside of our house. In theory, this is a great idea. But waking me up every morning by scraping at my window panes is a little disturbing to say the least. Made worse by the fact that my room has french doors and therefore increasing the surface area of panes to be scraped.

My housemate seems to sleep through it. I however am forced to leave my bed early (something I always loathed to do) only hoping that I pulled the curtains across tightly the night before so as not to have 20 pairs of eyes examining my unexplainable morning hairstyle. I then have to contend with the scraping at the kitchen window while I make my morning cuppa and then at the bathroom window while I have a shower. The house looks nice though. They've gone for a peachy, terracotta colour...hope they do the out house too.

A brief introduction to my House...

I live with my housemate, who I have shared with for over nine years since our crazy university days. Back then there were, at the highest point, a total of 13 sharing a three bed house. Most of these people were fostered...we do alot of fostering of friends. We are the Pippa Ross family of West London. Some of our foster friends have stayed for two years, some have stayed for two months.
Currently we have Tony. He lives in our out house which we converted from a rubble pit and dumping ground into our living room. Our biggest mistake was putting the futon in there. Two weeks later Tony began using it as his bed. six months later he still is. We have a Geo too. Geo is our foster cat. She arrived one night after a friend found he could no longer look after her for a while. Shes been with us for almost a year now.

I've always been someone who hasn't been afraid to talk to myself.
A general muse over the way of the world, a quick discussion about politics over a cup of coffee, a long rant whilst having to negotiate the mothers run in the morning (ladies you give us all a bad name!), or some quiet reflection sitting on the toilet in a random bar after one to many rum and cokes. To be honest, I've had some of the best conversations with myself, I've made myself laugh until it hurts, I've seen things from a different perspective, I've made sense in an otherwise crazy world...

Then, I began on my cat...it started in the morning before work when I was giving her her breakfast and before long it continued way into the night... I was happy, content, filled with fresh conversation...

She has begun to ignore me.

Recently I am convinced she has actually run to the back of the garden and disappeared over the wall when she has heard me coming home. She no longers wakes me up for breakfast, she doesn't want to lie with me in the garden. After weeks of verbal torture my little Geo has called it a day. I bore my cat.

And so, I find Blog :O), My new relationship with me. A wonderful chance to reflect, muse and rant under the belief that I am not talking to myself, hell no, thousands of others are out there begging for my wordly and knowledgable reports on everything, from why my ex boyfriend is finally finding it difficult to accept his mistake in loosing me, to why the suckers on the hooks for my bathroom towels never work, and my latest theory, why does the TV get louder after you turn out the light...hello Blog world, God I've needed you :O)

So, here I am. My first Blog. Finally, I join the technological masses...
